The riverbank is a pleasant place to enjoy a cup of tea or a local fish dish to the sound of the Erhu, a two-stringed guitar played by a few street musicians. The old temple occupied by the village\u2019s elderly is said to have 1,800-year-old Bannians and has been the setting for many period films. Stalls sell local products and classic souvenirs in the alleys of the \u201cnew old\u201d town, a very fashionable Chinese concept.
