It is one of the most famous Taoist mountains in China. There are many Taoist temples surrounded by lush green nature. Known for its tranquility, Mount Qingcheng covers an area of \u200b\u200b200km2 and is composed of 36 peaks. The mountain is thus divided into 2 parts: the front and the back. The front part covers 15km2 and includes the vast majority of temples such as Jianfu, and many historical sites. The back part has been open to hikers for a few years. There are a few temples and historical sites, but it is mainly nature that predominates in this part. A nature made of forest and tranquility.\r\n<h2>What to see at Mount Qingcheng?<\/h2>\r\nJianfu Temple\r\n\r\nLocated on Zhangren Peak, it was founded in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt many times. The current buildings were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty in the 19th century.\r\n\r\nLaojun Pavilion\r\n\r\nThis pavilion was rebuilt in the late 1980s, before being destroyed by an earthquake in 2008 and then rebuilt again. The temple now includes a 33m high pagoda as well as the Donghua Temple, and peaks at over 1000m!\r\n\r\nShangqing Temple\r\n\r\nWhile a first structure was built under the Jin dynasty in the 3rd century, the current temple was built under the Qing dynasty. It is one of the most famous Taoist temples.\r\n\r\nTianshi Cave\r\n\r\n2km north of Jianfu Temple is the Tianshi Cave built in the Sui Dynasty.
