Today, Hongyadong is a large complex of stilt houses built along a cliff on the bank of the Jialing River. Hongyadong is now a must-see destination for visitors to Chongqing, especially those who want to experience the Bayu culture that is very present in Chongqing. Hongyadong is a group of houses spread over 11 floors on the side of a cliff (75 meters of vertical difference). The 1st floor and the 11th floor are accessible by 2 different roads. Elevators provide access to the different levels where you can find bars, cafes, restaurants\u2026 It is often compared to a building that can be seen in the anime \"Spirited Away\", a masterpiece by Miyazaki. On the 2nd floor, you can discover a small waterfall that flows along the cliff and is considered one of the 12 Bayu sites. The night view is undoubtedly what you should not miss...
