Overall, a good, well-organised stay. Of course, one small regret was the hot-air balloon.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The drivers were right on time (we could advise all the drivers to have an app for translating. Some had it and it was handy’). No problems with the train, very easy to get on and get your bearings….<\/div>\n
We had a small problem booking our hotel in Pingyao, but it was quickly sorted out.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The guide was top notch. My daughter will long remember the birthday cake Bastien gave her in Yangshuo and the songs the hotel staff sang to celebrate it.<\/div>\n
No hard sell or tourist traps, and that’s really nice.<\/div>\n

I had noted some interesting information for your future clients:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In Pingyao, to visit the ramparts you have to do so before 5.15pm. We didn’t have this information, so we arrived too late.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Laundry cleaning. You have to be careful because at the Beijing and Yangshuo hotels there was a washing machine available for a few yuan or even free, but at Pingyao and Chengdu there was nothing, so it was done outside the hotel at high prices of several yuan per item of clothing, which adds up quickly.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We downloaded baidu as a gps to find our way around the cities and it’s really very practical. Of course Google translate and a good vpn.<\/div>\n
